Andrea
Originally from the Zurich region. In 2013, I moved to beautiful Piedmont (northern Italy) to take on a new challenge. With great passion and dedication, I was able to fulfil a long-standing dream and run an agriturismo with a vineyard, fruit trees and holiday apartments in the hills of the Langhe region. There, I discovered my love and passion for hosting guests.
At the same time, I increasingly missed my beautiful homeland, Switzerland. Especially the mountains. Hiking. Climbing, mountain biking. Movement. The fresh air. My native language, family, and friends.
In 2020, it was time for a new challenge. In my own homeland, surrounded by mountains. What a dream – it doesn't get any better.
Together with my former partner, I was able to acquire the farmhouse «MAIEZYT» and the associated «Schwendihütte». Part of the house now serves as our private residence, which we share. From the other rooms, my business «Guesthouse HOF MAIEZYT» was created – for unforgettable holidays and stays in our holiday apartments for 2 or up to 19 people, or in our group accommodation, the cosy chalet «Schwendihütte». Celebrating and enjoying time with friends, family, or schoolmates.
I passionately take care of the entire design of the guesthouse and accommodations, the website presence, booking platforms, and all guest booking inquiries. I always have an open ear for my employees – the hardworking fairies – who ensure that the accommodations are in top condition for the next guests. They are my greatest gift and truly the heart of the guesthouse. Without them, a business with such a high guest turnover wouldn’t function.

Karin
Karin is the heart and soul of the guesthouse HOF MAIEZYT. She works at 60% capacity, and without her, nothing would work.
She is the main contact person for check-in/check-out with guests, happily shows them the accommodation, and explains – with charm and clarity – what is allowed and what we kindly ask of our guests in return.
In addition, Karin handles the accounting, arranges necessary repairs, takes care of the garden, plans laundry orders and coordinates the use of additional cleaning fairies during peak times, heats the house in winter, and is simply the good spirit and wonderful soul on site.
