Ballenberg – unforgettable experiences

The unique open-air museum at the end of Lake Brienz, around 35 minutes away by car, is a wonderful destination for repeated discovery trips with children.

Here you can also encounter various animal breeds from our farm, admire rural traditions and craftsmanship from all over Switzerland, attend open-air theatre performances, and take part in workshops. Representative buildings from all cantons vividly and authentically showcase rural life through the centuries.

Blausee – nature at its most beautiful

On the road to the Lötschberg Tunnel, about 45 minutes away by car, lies a small nature park with an organic trout farm. Along winding paths, visitors can observe fish of all ages up close and later enjoy them at the organic restaurant.

A creative playground on the shore of the deep-blue mountain lake delights children and gives adults a moment to relax. If time allows, it is well worth stopping on the way back in Spiez with its castle and the option of an impressive boat trip.

Follow in the footsteps of the dragon slayer Beatus, admire the breathtaking peaks of the Bernese Alps high above Lake Thun, climb and play on hidden playgrounds, enjoy relaxed barbecues by wild streams, and finally listen to the breath of the dragon deep inside the Beatus Caves.

On the way back, stop at one of Interlaken’s family-friendly pizzerias such as Luna Piccante or Pizzeria Horn, before returning to the farm to enjoy the vast starry sky.
