Originally from the Zurich region, I moved to beautiful Piedmont (northern Italy) in 2013 to take on a new challenge. With great dedication and passion, I was able to realize a long-held dream and run an agriturismo with vineyards, fruit trees, and holiday accommodations in the hills of the Langhe. During this time, I discovered my love and passion for hosting.
At the same time, I increasingly missed my beautiful home country of Switzerland – especially the mountains. Hiking, climbing, mountain biking, movement. The good, fresh air. My own language, family, and friends.
In 2020, it was time for a new challenge. Back in my homeland, surrounded by mountains. What a dream – it doesn’t get any better than that.
Together with my former partner, I was able to purchase the farmhouse “MAIEZYT” as well as the associated “Schwendihütte.” Part of the house is now used as our private residence, which we share. From the remaining rooms, my business “Gästehaus HOF MAIEZYT” was created – offering unforgettable holidays and stays in our holiday apartments for 2 or up to 19 people, as well as in our group accommodation, the cozy chalet “Schwendihütte.” A place to celebrate and enjoy time together with friends, family, or classmates.
I am passionately involved in designing and shaping the guesthouse and accommodations, managing the website, booking platforms, and handling all booking inquiries from our guests. I always have an open ear for my team – the hardworking fairies. They ensure that the accommodations are handed over to the next guests in perfect condition and are therefore my greatest gift and the heart of the guesthouse. Without them, an operation with such frequent guest turnover and large groups would not function.
